Shirazmall Commercial Complex
Shiraz Mall Commercial Complex is located in Iran and Shiraz. This complex with 40,000 square meters of infrastructure including restaurant, food court, skating, 3 cinemas, amusement park, billiard hall, 70 office units and restaurant roof with green roof is designed and built and opened in December 2021. The facade of this shopping center consists of two cubes with rigid walls made of special textured bricks and glass, which are integrated to induce movement and dynamism with its special form in the viewer’s mind.
In order to create dynamism and movement and strengthen the architectural concept of the building, we used the form of lines of movement towards the sky and excellence. Therefore designing and customizing LED lights with diffusion cover was designed in the shape of bricks that were integrated in the architecture and building materials for solid cubic form and. LED brick pixel lights by the central control system in the three-wall facade with dynamic movement in the form of flicker in different groups display the project view like a shining diamond at night.
We reinforced this movement by using shiny lines with completely random positions and lengths on the glass wall. As soon as we face the facade and walk inside the project spaces such as commercial corridors, cinemas, offices and food courts, we will notice the order in using regular and irregular lines that are identified and integrated with the architecture of the building, which is a specific visual experience for the visitors. Of course, it has helped to strengthen the project’s environmental graphics.
The extension and movement of the lines from the ceiling of the interior of the food court to the outside of the food court continues in harmony with the architectural form, which in addition to providing general and decorative lighting the interior space is also considered as part of the facade lighting.

Hamrah Ghashghaei is recipient of several awards for outstanding design. He is a long-standing professional member of the IALD (International Association of Lighting Designers) and member grade of Illuminating Engineering Society of North America (IES).
